Shedding
Dragon owned by Cher Nicole Cloughley
As a bearded dragon grows, it must shed its old skin because it doesn't grow with them. When a dragon goes into shed, it may stop eating and seem more irritable. Shed can appear in bright or dull gray or white patches across the body. Unlike other reptiles such as geckos and snakes, bearded dragons don't shed all in one piece.
To help the shedding process along, feel free to increase the amount of baths given. Don't use any oils or lotions on the shed, it will come off when it's ready. In the rare case that the shed is stuck and won't come off, and has been there for months, you can use a soft bristle toothbrush to gently rub at it. This may encourage it to start peeling off.
